Remove these screws and disconnect the ribbon cable and remove the screen. I post this for those who have no display. Is working fine now. His advise: Thrash it.

To minimize this potential, place the camera in "Continuous Shutter" mode, and take a large amount of pictures continuously to attempt to lubricate the shutter (you can delete those pictures later). The longest exposure time I can get is 4 seconds, so I waited 2 seconds each time.

devin,Glad that it worked for you. Twin Lens Reflex camera's are still used, but this is basically the same thing your getting with a compact point and shoot with a view finder. Was it an official Canon Service Center that did the work or someone else? .ma 748 miles away at closest canon repair facility somewhere in Ohio! My screen had absolutely no display, nothing. I have an old Canon Ixus II that my son now uses. Screen belt is cut off.

Unfortunately the SD750 is not listed on Canon's advisory for the famous CCD problem. It simply said "hit the camera with the palm of your hand" (when it is on) and the screen will return.

There are some DIY solutions you could try, but the \012probability is that you will have to get it fixed by a professional.Use\012\012\012\012\012\012\012 these at own risk as it may further If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. What do I do?
