Calendar Reminders Not Working Outlook 2007
Cached Exchange is greyed out on my remote desktop server as well and can't be enabled. Same as /f except is associated with the print verb instead of open./Embedding

Outlook 2007 Reminders Not Popping Up
There are other things we can try, but you may not like them. If they do not, create a test task or calendar appointment to see if you are prompted with a reminder. You do not have your Calendar or Task reminders in your primary folder (i.e., the folder where you receive messages). Not sure why your Cached mode is greyed out, could be a group policy setting or something.
